Roger Waters is an anti-Semite. He is also a sexist, misogynistic, narcissistic prick. His former bandmates from Pink Floyd have said so. But now there is more proof that the legendary rock star’s many comments in support of the BDS (Boycott Divestment Sanctions) movement against Israel are not just the one-sided rantings of the average Israel hater, but those of an outright Jew hater.
A new documentary short – it’s just 37 minutes long – called “The Dark Side of Roger Waters” proves this. The film was produced by UK-based advocacy group Campaign Against Antisemitism and is available for viewing online.
One of the points made against Roger Waters over the years was the imagery used in Pink Floyd’s historic album “The Wall” – the album which made the band a legend – that was seemingly anti-Semitic. The imagery was found on the album cover, in the movie the band made based on it and in shows that Roger Waters has had over the years.

Gideon Falter, Chief Executive of Campaign Against Antisemitism, said, “Roger Waters has repeatedly used his enormous platform to bait Jews, but he always claims that he is not anti-Semitic. We believed that there was further evidence out there to the contrary, and the release of The Dark Side of Roger Waters now puts the evidence we obtained in the hands of the public.
Most recently, Waters wore a Nazi like uniform when performing on stage. His defenders said that this was merely an “actor” playing a character and that the fascist imagery used in his shows was meant to be a condemnation of Nazism and so on.
“The elements of my performance that have been questioned are quite clearly a statement in opposition to fascism, injustice, and bigotry in all its forms,” Roger Waters once said in his own defense. “Attempts to portray those elements as something else are disingenuous and politically motivated. The depiction of an unhinged fascist demagogue has been a feature of my shows since Pink Floyd’s The Wall in 1980.”
But there is also the fact that the shows feature a huge balloon pig. The documentary reveals that Roger Waters wanted “dirty kyke” to be written on it and even stars of David.
Bob Ezrin, who produced Pink Floyd’s album “The Wall” said in the movie “The problem is the pig has a Star of David. Nobody really understands the profound meaning that Roger will ascribe to the pig. They just see symbols of anti-Semitism and so for the anti-Semites in the audience that’s a rallying cry that’s a flag they can follow.”
Also in the documentary, Norbert Statchel, Roger Waters’ former saxophonist, said that Waters once said “Take away the Jew food” about vegetarian cuisine that was served and even mocked Stachel’s grandmother who died in the Holocaust.
On Roger Waters’s hatred for Israel Ezrin added, “To say that you can challenge Zionism without challenging Jews as a people is just naive, it’s uninformed, and its insensitive.”
In response, Roger Waters said, “the film is a flimsy, unapologetic piece of propaganda that indiscriminately mixes things I’m alleged to have said or done at different times and in different contexts, in an effort to portray me as an anti-Semite, without any foundation in fact.”
