The Mark Zuckerberg vs Elon Musk fight is moving ahead, but then again, maybe not. The two billionaires can’t seem to agree if it will actually happen. Billions the world over are praying that it will, of course.
The UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship), however, will not be involved in the bout. On Friday Elon Musk took to his personal social media company, the one formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC). Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all.”
And Elon Musk added that the Italian government has found a great spot for his fight with Mark Zuckerberg saying, “I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.”

Elon Musk also revealed what charity will benefit from the bout saying, “Everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy. And all proceeds go to veterans.”
But Mark Zuckerberg commented on his new Meta/Facebook social media platform Threads that he is not so sure if the fight will actually take place
“I love this sport and I’ve been ready to fight since the day Elon challenged me. If he ever agrees on an actual date, you’ll hear it from me. Until then, please assume anything he says has not been agreed on. Not holding my breath for Elon, but I’ll share details on my next fight when I’m ready,” he said.
In June, Meta/Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg unbelievably accepted a challenge to duel, of sorts, with Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and founder of Tesla.
So, WTF! How did this all come about in the first place?
Well, Elon Musk was not happy to hear that Mark Zuckerberg was planning to have his Meta/Facebook business start its own messaging platform that would compete with Twitter. At one point, Musk said of the idea that Facebook wanted to expand into another area of social media by saying, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options.”
So, Elon Musk, who claims to have been trained in Kyokushin karate, taekwondo, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, is ready for a fight. On Thursday he bragged on Twitter, “I have this great move that I call “The Walrus”, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.”
