Does Roseanne Barr actually think she is being funny, or doing some sort of stunt? Could it be that she is so delusional she does not even realize that what she is doing is so wrong, not to mention making it impossible for her to ever have a comeback? Does she even care? Or has Roseanne simply lost it?
Let’s just cut to the chase, shall we?
In an interview with Theo Von on his podcast “This Past Weekend” – if you are asking yourself right now “Theo who?” don’t feel bad, nobody knows – Roseanne Barr, or Arnold or just plain Roseanne said the following:
Will you offer us a hand? Every gift, regardless of size, fuels our future.
Your critical contribution enables us to maintain our independence from shareholders or wealthy owners, allowing us to keep up reporting without bias. It means we can continue to make Jewish Business News available to everyone.

“And nobody died in the Holocaust, either. That’s the truth. It should happen. Six million Jews should die right now ’cause they cause all the problems in the world. But it never happened. But it never happened — mandated.”
What?
Sorry, WTF?
Roseanne Barr followed the remarks by reminding everyone that she herself is Jewish, as if that makes any difference at all.
She prefaced those remarks by repeating the outright lie about the 2020 US Presidential elections having been rigged.
“The truth is that Biden got 81 million votes by winning 36 counties and that is just incredible,” Roseanne Barr said about the election. “I’m just glad that they were careful to make sure that nobody could detract from that proven truth.”
This comment was related to her point about there no longer being any freedom of speech on social media outlets like Twitter and Instagram or on YouTube.
For the record, freedom of speech does not include the proliferation of outright lies. And even in America, where the First Amendment to the Constitution has been interpreted by the courts to require the world’s most liberal definition of freedom of speech, that definition applies to any attempt by the government – federal, state or local – to limit said freedom. And even then, there are limits if the speech in question can cause other people physical harm.
But the standard is very different for private organizations including businesses. When it comes to what is allowed to be posted on a social media platform they have every right to set standards as to what content is acceptable.
As for Roseanne Barr’s Holocaust comments, one could make the argument that she did not really believe what she said. That she was just making a point about freedom of speech.
Even so, it does not matter.
Yes, in America freedom of speech means that people have a right to deny the Holocaust and say the most heinous anti-Semitic and/or racist things. But that is not the point here.
And regardless of anyone’s personal opinion or belief, when it comes to freedom of speech – the rest of the world does have a right to ostracize – call it cancel if you must – someone for being a racist and engaging in hate speech.
Someone once said that even bad publicity is better than no publicity at all. Well, maybe, just maybe, Roseanne Barr thinks it is better to be hated as long as she can get her face on television again. If so, her stunt worked for however brief a moment.
