Jeffrey Katzenberg Tells Israelis AI Will Hurt Entertainment Industry the Most

Hollywood Mogul Jeffrey Katzenberg is in Israel where he spoke about his concerns that generative AI could ruin the entertainment industry, or anything creative. The comments came when he spoke at the Silicon Valley Comes to Tel Aviv Summit held at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Meanwhile, Katzenberg also seems to be an advisor to President Joe Biden.

A Wall Street Journal Report said that Jeffrey Katzenberg has become an “influential outside adviser” to President Joe Biden in his bid for reelection in 2024. Apparently, He advised the President to “act his age.”

Jeffrey Katzenberg is working as one of seven national co-chairs of the Biden 2024 campaign.

As for Generative AI, a type of Artificial Intelligence that can create a wide variety of data, such as images, videos, audio, text, and 3D models, Jeffrey Katzenberg is pessimistic.

“I don’t think there is any industry that generative AI will disrupt more than the creative industry. What and how it will change is unimaginable at this point, but I know it will be stunning,” he told the audience at the Silicon Valley Comes to Tel Aviv Summit.”

Jeffrey Katzenberg got his start as an executive at Paramount pictures. While there, he was responsible for helping to revive Star Trek and make it into a successful movie franchise. Katzenberg then served as the CEO of The Walt Disney Company. There he was involved in making the hits “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, “The Little Mermaid,” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
