Gal Gadot can soon be seen portraying yet another action hero in the upcoming Netflix action-thriller “Heart of Stone” due out in August. While the details of the new movie’s plot are still under wraps, Gadot can be expected to continue her string of action packed movies like “Wonder Woman” and portray secret agent Rachel Stone in the new movie. While she did not talk about the film’s plot, Gadot did dish on some of the behind the scenes action in an interview with Empire Magazine.
“I realized that there was an audience for a female action protagonist,” said Gal Gadot. “I grew up watching Bond, and Mission, and Bourne. I wanted to create a really strong, female-driven action movie that is for everybody, not a male story that’s been done many times already.”
But don’t make the mistake of thinking that Gal Gadot wants to be the new female James Bond.

“They’re thrilling,” she said of the Bond movies. “But I don’t want people to come to this movie thinking, ‘This is the female Bond.’ This is a new idea, a new universe. It’s hard to tell these stories without cliché, but we really tried to avoid them.”
One picture released from the movie shows Gal Gadot on an exploding blimp. On filming that sequence, Gadot said, “The scene was even crazier, at a higher altitude and we got into the science of it and dialed it down so that a human could do it. That was something I wanted to really make sure we nailed. That could be done by people.”
Unfortunately, Gal Gadot is apparently not allowed to do all of her own stunts, like her fellow action star Tom Cruise does in movies like “Top Gun” and the Mission Impossible series.
“What I can do as an actor, I’ll always go for it and… fight with intention and really perform that,” she told Empire. “The crazy, crazy stuff, I can’t, they won’t let me!”
“Heart of Stone” is directed by Tom Harper. In it, Gal Gadot co-stars with Sophie Okonedo and Jamie Dornan. The movie will be available for live streaming on August 11.
