At the age of 80 David Geffen married his boyfriend a 30 year old model and a former go-go dancer Donovan Michaels. It’s the first marriage for the entertainment mogul with an estimated net worth upwards of $8 billion. The two reportedly married in a private ceremony in Beverly Hills in March.
Maybe this is why the tabloid media is trying to paint a picture of Michaels as a failed entertainer who never held down a real job who might be a gold digger who is only interested in David Geffen’s money. According to the Daily Mail, he met Geffen three years ago while working as the mogul’s personal trainer, but the paper also reported that it has received conflicting reports about the new Mr. Geffen’s past. Some have even implied Donovan Michaels – born David Armstrong in Michigan and who once went by the name of Brandon Foster – may have been a prostitute. He worked cam-shows, nude pool parties at gay clubs and had a number of other somewhat seedy positions over the years.
A friend of his told the New York Post Michaels, “was always looking for his next adventure and was really determined to improve his life.”
