Forbes has released its highly anticipated annual list of the wealthiest people in the world. This year’s ranking includes 30 Israelis with over a billion dollars in net worth. However, the data shows that the fortunes of many Israeli billionaires have experienced significant fluctuations in the past year.
Eyal Ofer is top of the list of wealthiest Israelis, with an estimated fortune of $18.9 billion. This places him at the 86th spot on the global list. Notably, Eyal Ofer’s estimated wealth has increased from $15.4 billion in the previous year, indicating a rise in his financial status. His brother Idan Ofer also made a significant leap in the ranking, securing the 127th spot with an estimated personal fortune of $14 billion, up from $10.5 billion in the previous year.

In the third position among the featured Israelis are the Bukhman brothers, Dmitri and Igor, who have amassed their fortune in the gaming industry. They are ranked 332nd overall, with a combined net worth of $7 billion. Meanwhile, Shari Arison is recognized as the wealthiest Israeli woman on the list, with a fortune of $4.2 billion. She ranks eighth among Israelis and 659th in the general global ranking.
Businessman Arnon Milchan, with an estimated wealth of $3.3 billion, is also included in the list, securing the 878th spot overall. Milchan is known for being a key witness in the ongoing criminal trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as he and businessman James Packer are believed to have provided favors worth approximately NIS 700,000 to Netanyahu.
Another familiar name on the list is Adam Neumann, one of the founders of WeWork. Neumann’s ranking has improved from 2076th place to 1368th place, showcasing a significant rise in wealth.
The list, titled “Forbes Billionaires 2023: The Richest People in the World,” encompasses 2,640 billionaires, a slight decrease from the previous year’s figure of 2,668.
Bernard Arnault, the owner of the luxury empire LVMH, is topping the global list with a staggering fortune of $211 billion. Elon Musk follows in second place with $180 billion, while Jeff Bezos comes in third with $114 billion.
