Scarlett Johansson has a new movie coming out directed by none other than Wes Anderson called “Asteroid City.” And at the same time the budding entrepreneur has a new face mask product from her cosmetics company.
Every successful actress wants to be known as more than just a pretty face. And so many try to enter other ventures, including business. So, Scarlett Johansson is in very good company. Think of Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow who won an Oscar and has since concentrated more on her own company, Goop. And singers like Beyonce Knowles have their own cosmetics lines.
So how is cosmetics company The Outset different from all other cosmetic companies? Founded by Scarlett Johansson and Kate Foster Lengyel, the company says that it believes that clean and effective skincare should be universal, accessible and essential. Driven by values of radical simplicity, conscious minimalism, and universal optimism, The Outset, it declares, helps people embrace the elemental and find freedom in the uncomplicated.

So, Scarlett Johansson is not just trying to bilk her fame for all that it is worth. She is trying to make the world a better place by, of course, selling makeup.
As for “Asteroid City,” the movie sees the two-time Oscar nominee join a “madcap” cast of famous actors like Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie in yet another bizarre installment from the world of Wes Anderson whose delightful films over the years included “Isle of Dogs,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and “Rushmore.”
Scarlett Johansson will also be joined by Wes Anderson’s regulars like Oscar nominee Edward Norton and Oscar winner Adrien Brody. It also features Steve Carell, Hope Davis, Bryan Cranston, Willem Dafoe, and Jeff Goldblum.
Due out in June, the movie, set in the 1950s, tells the story of what happens when a group of zany characters come together for the Junior Stargazer convention must suddenly deal with an alien invasion.
Scarlett Johansson is also working on a new movie called “Bride” which tells the story of a woman created to be an ideal wife but when she rejects her creator, she’s forced to flee her confined existence, confronting a world that sees her as a monster.
