env0, an Israeli startup that offers automated, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) collaborative remote-run workflow management for cloud deployments, brought in an additional $18.1 million of funding to conclude its Series A round of investment to bring it to a total of $35.1 million.
IBM explains that Infrastructure as Code (IaC) uses a high-level descriptive coding language to automate the provisioning of IT infrastructure. This automation eliminates the need for developers to manually provision and manage servers, operating systems, database connections, storage, and other infrastructure elements every time they want to develop, test, or deploy a software application.
And adds IBM, IaC is also an essential DevOps practice, indispensable to a competitively paced software delivery lifecycle. It enables DevOps teams rapidly create and version infrastructure in the same way they version source code and to track these versions so as to avoid inconsistency among IT environments that can lead to serious issues during deployment.

Founded in 2018 by Ohad Maislish and Omry Hay and headquartered in Tel Aviv, env0 automates and simplifies the governance of cloud deployments for Terraform, Terragrunt and IaC frameworks, offering a collaborative remote-run workflow management. The company boasts that its solution addresses the need for provisioning and compliance of changing cloud resources. env0 states that it enables users and teams to jointly share configuration templates using remote state file storage to prevent drifts and accelerate code deployment. env0 fully integrates with CI/CD pipelines and VCS tools and delivers full CLI support to “ensure a smooth, flawless process.”
“While IaC tools unlock amazing benefits for businesses and enable rapid iteration and innovation, the biggest rewards can only be realized by scaling it effectively,” said env0 CEO Ohad Maislish, who founded the company in 2018 with CTO Omry Hay. “env0 is becoming increasingly important to our customers’ infrastructures. Our solutions help them scale and manage their IaC tools—dramatically cutting their deployment times and enabling self-service for their teams without neglecting compliance.”
