CrowdStrike Set to Acquire Israeli cyber security company Reposify

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc., a provider of cloud-delivered protection of endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data, has agreed to acquire Israeli firm Reposify Ltd., a provider of an external attack surface management (EASM) platform that scans the internet for exposed assets of an organization to detect and eliminate risk from vulnerable and unknown assets before attackers can exploit them. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

It was revealed in July that Crowdstrike planned on spending up to $2 billion acquiring Israeli firms.

With its acquisition of Reposify, CrowdStrike says that it will provide a “fundamentally differentiated” EASM experience to customers as part of its world-renowned Threat Intelligence product suite, combining deep insights on endpoints and IT environments with internet scanning capabilities that deliver an adversarial-view of organizational risk across internal and external attack surfaces. CrowdStrike will also leverage Reposify’s capabilities to bolster its rapidly growing Security and IT Operations product suite.

Founded in 2017 by CTO Yaron Tal, Reposify’s external attack surface management (EASM) platform pinpoints unknown, exposed internet-facing assets so security teams can best secure their digital perimeter. The company boasts that its intelligent internet mapping technology takes all environments of an organizations’ digital footprint into account for full-spectrum perimeter security, with no agents or deployment required.

Having indexed billions of digital assets since 2016, Reposify’s proprietary internet mapping technology leverages big data to identify historical trends critical to an organizations’ security posture. Whether assets are on premise, in the cloud or housed across supply chains and subsidiaries, nothing is left unknown. All exposed assets — known or unknown — are automatically classified, analyzed and prioritized according to risk score. Customizable alerts trigger notifications for issues that require immediate attention.

“Fortifying security posture and reducing enterprise risk are top priorities for organizations. Traditional risk models take an inside-out approach, which doesn’t always account for how a threat actor may view the external attack surface. Reposify’s technology delivers an outside-in perspective of an organization’s global external risk, providing deep visibility into what connected devices are vulnerable and most likely to be targeted,” said George Kurtz, co-founder and chief executive officer of CrowdStrike. “Combined with CrowdStrike’s industry-leading threat intelligence and ITSecOps offerings, this acquisition will provide customers an adversarial view of their external-facing risk and vulnerabilities so they can be more proactive in managing their security posture and more resilient to attacks.”

“With the acquisition of Reposify, we plan to offer a fundamentally differentiated EASM experience as part of our industry-leading threat intelligence product line, Michael Sentonas, Chief Technology Officer of Crowdstrike, explained. “By combining deep insights on endpoints and IT environments with transformative internet-scanning capabilities, customers will be able to gain an organization-wide view of risk across internal and external attack surfaces from the adversary’s perspective. The technology will also bolster capabilities in our growing ITSecOps offerings.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to be joining the peerless team and industry-leading innovators at CrowdStrike,” said Uzi Krieger, chief executive officer of Reposify.
