INMED has inked a partnership with Northern Manhattan care facilities to integrate and operate its AI-based for Remote Patient Management across all ten of Northern Manhattan’s care facilities in the US. The transaction is valued at around $25 million.
The pilot resulted in a substantial reduction in acute patient readmission rates, avoiding hospital infections, an unpleasant and new hospital environment, and patient family disturbance due to hospitalization bedside care. Readmission rates were reduced by 92%, resulting in an estimated yearly savings of $200K per nursing home institution.
Additionally, the pilot showed the benefits of enhancing acute patient care at the bedside through the utilization of assessment equipment and the opportunity to do billable tests in-house. By providing medical teams with 24-hour access to patients through video, chat, and phone, they can deliver prompt medical treatment to both acute and unmonitored patients, significantly enhancing care at all levels of medicine.
