As part of an international project by Kelly Clarkson, the American pop singer on Thursday has released a duet with Israeli singer Maya Buskila titled “I Dare You.” Both singers singing in Hebrew.
Clarkson’s multi-national project includes singing the same song in languages such as French, Spanish, German and Arabic.

In addition, the project features an original song in English and a mix with a video made remotely by the isolated singers around the world amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a press release, Clarkson said: “This is my favorite/hardest project that I’ve ever worked on. It has always been a dream of mine, as I grew up singing in different languages, to find that perfect song, with the perfect message, to connect us all globally and then record that song with several other artists around the world in their native languages,” according to USA Today.
“It started when Kelly’s people called my agent,” Buskila says. “They gave me several options after she looked at my YouTube page and heard my song. It’s a dream come true.”
The interaction with Israeli singer Maya Buskila was mainly conducted via the WhatsApp messaging application. Buskila told Ynet News that the main work with Clarkson was helping her pronounce the words in Hebrew.
“It took us almost two months,” she told Ynet. “We worked a lot on how ‘resh’ (R letter in English) sound.”
The project was supposed to be aired in Clarkson’s TV show, but the coronavirus pandemic scrapped for now.
“We realized that we wouldn’t be able to do it the way we originally planned for,” said Buskila. “I was worried that the whole project would be canceled.”
