Israel sends coronavirus protective gear to China

 

The Israeli humanitarian aid organization (NGO) IsraAID sent emergency medical supplies and protective gear to the Chinese Ministry of Health on the last flight from Tel Aviv to mainland China before Israel closed borders for flight to and from China.

The aid in partnership with the Israel-China Chamber of Commerce and David Ashkenazi of ICCB Capital is also looking into providing additional support in the area of mental health for humanitarian aid workers and first responders.

According to CEO Yotam Polizer IsraAID will continue to monitor the situation.

Magen David Adom (MDA) also responded to the request for help from China and sent packing protective supplies to be distributed by Chabad organization in China to tackle the spread of the country’s Coronavirus.

MDA sent 2000 masks and 200 full protection kits including special suits, masks, glasses, shoes, and hats covers. The shipment arrived in Hong-Kong with a Chabad Shaliach.

Coronavirus first reported from Wuhan on December 31, has now infected 20,703 people globally – 20,492 in China – killed 427 – recovered 727 people.
