Fashion survey: Understand your online clients

 

Hardly any sector has been as strongly shaped by online trade as the fashion industry. Shopping behavior seems to have changed substantially already and the trend towards more and more online orders is continuing. But what it is that actually makes online clothes shopping so popular? What do customers pay attention to when choosing their favorite stores? And what roles do brands and vendors play? We conducted an exciting survey about this topic.

58% of respondents who shop for clothes rarely choose a distribution channel based on their budget, whereas among the frequent shoppers only 38% choose for budget reasons

74% of fashion shoppers have already looked for an item online that they had previously seen in a stationary store, 47% in order to see if they could find a cheaper offer

When it comes to preferred characteristics of online stores, prices and shipping costs are important to 94% of online shoppers, followed by discounts and special deals with 87%
