Don’t Miss Y-Studs Jewish A Cappella Spacial for The High Holidays

WATCH as this talented group takes you on a thrilling ride through the development of Jewish music.

The Jewish High Holidays are upon us and with them comes Y-Studs A Cappella’s latest compelling vocal production. From the all-male, Upper Manhattan group that brought you a Passover twist on Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” a Hanukkah mashup of The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Closer,” and a theatrical rendition of the Oscar-nominated film La La Land, arrives an innovative masterpiece to bring in the spirit of the High Holidays.

In collaboration with Ben Bram, arranger of Pentatonix’s original “Evolution of Music”, and some of the best a cappella producers in the industry, the Y-Studs present “Evolution of Jewish Music,” a mega-medley filled with iconic songs spanning centuries of the religion’s rich music culture.

Working alongside esteemed Belz School of Jewish Music Yeshiva University, the group researched the vast history of music, from Temple period chants to modern day radio hits. Evolution of Jewish Music touches every facet of Jewish culture from 11th-century choral pieces to traditional Yiddish favorites to Adam Sandler’s “The Chanukah Song” and Matisyahu’s “One Day.”

Y-Studs A Cappella - La La Passover

Y- Studs A Cappella received international attention in 2015 with their release of an A Cappella cover video of Gad Elbaz’s “Hashem Melech” (based on Khaled’s “C’est la vie”). They’ve since traveled the world, from Europe to South America and beyond, spreading their music at concerts, weddings and various other family and communal events. They followed up their first music video with “Seder,” a Passover-inspired parody of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” which received well over a million views on social media and was covered by CBS, TIME, and more.
