“On a Mission: Atlanta Rising,” is an NBC documentary profile of Falcons owner, Arthur Blank, that will air on Saturday, September 2nd at 2 p.m. The one-hour long documentary is expected to unmask one of the most influential businessmen in Atlanta’s history.
While the team is in the midst of preparing for the 2017 season, NBC Sports team has been following Blank the man at the absolute top of the franchise. Blank who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Atlanta Sports Council in July will openly tell his story, and the lessons he’s learned as an NFL owner.

Among the moments from his recent life that will explore is the Falcons’ run to Super Bowl LI last season, the creation of Atlanta United FC and the building of the extraordinary Mercedes-Benz Stadium and even his foray into MLS with Atlanta United.

According to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, the show will also cover Blank’s life from childhood and his father’s death, via Blank’s experiences as co-founder of The Home Depot business background and philanthropy.
In the documentary also interviews with Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, Dan Quinn, Michael Vick, Thomas Dimitroff, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal.

Arthur Blank purchased the Atlanta Falcons FC in 2002, and he founded MLS expansion club Atlanta United FC, which began its inaugural season in 2017.
