Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla and Space X, who initiated the ambitious plan to settle Mars, announced last week that he had purchased the domain x.com from PayPal, which he had set up in the past.
Musk wrote on his Twitter account: “Thanks to PayPal for allowing me to buy back x.com, I have no plans for now, but I have a sentimental value for me.”

Excited to announce the launch of https://t.co/J6TuRWIQAA! It’s a little verbose right now, but that will be fixed tomorrow.

At least for the time being, there is no information on Musk’s companies or ambitious space plans – just the letter x on the top left side of the screen.
The address has belonged to PayPal for the last 16 years. It is not clear what Musk intends to do with the new domain, but some estimate that he will associate with SpaceX, his private company, which launches spacecraft and satellites with launchers that can be recycled.
