So what exactly is Oculus Touch? It is a hand held control similar to a joy stick which allows the user of Oculus VR tech to better control their virtual reality experience. Sensors follow your hand movements and gestures and let you take better control over what you do in the VR world. When used with the Oculus goggles, people will be able to see their hands do exactly what they are making them do in the real world.
The new controls can be connected to a device with a wireless USB port. Unfortunately, we are sometime away from the development of VR gloves which would follow your every hand movement. For now, we must settle for pushing buttons.
The company has also released 54 different games which can be played using Oculus Touch. They include sports, music and of course zombie killing.
In addition, Oculus is now offering Oculus Avatar for use with its Touch. This allows users to create their own custom avatars. It offers a selection of different faces, hairstyles, eyewear, clothing, and texture effects and boasts more than one billion possible permutations.
