Mark Cuban has criticized the American public for voting for Trump and slammed the media. He also defended his Dallas Mavericks against the critics. This is all normal for the eccentric billionaire who vocally opposed Donald Trump’s candidacy.
The NBA may expect its owners to behave themselves in public and adhere to a set of league guidelines, but this has not stopped Mark Cuban from using the Mavericks’ name for his official blog which acts as a sounding board to express his political agenda and personal gripes.

He puts the blame for Trump’s election on the mainstream media (MSM). More specifically, all of the people who for whatever reason are angry and believe that the MSM lies to them.
Cuban recently posted the following on his blog:
“President Elect Trump won not because the media failed at their job or didn’t recognize something. Donald Trump won precisely because the MSM did their job exactly as they expected they would and they used it to their advantage.”
“Every chance Donald got he would say things that his campaign knew would get the MSM all riled up. They knew exactly what they were doing. The more the media and people like me criticized Donald, the more it played right into their hands. We were the bad guys. We didn’t get it. We represented everything they wanted to change. We were the forces behind the corrupt media. The elites. The establishment. The suckers getting paid off by George Soros and foreign corrupt interests.”

Mark Cuban took some of the blame for Donald Trump’s victory on himself, though.
“I was dumb enough to think I would be able to talk people out of voting for Donald Trump by detailing what I thought were his weaknesses, ” Cuban wrote. “The Trump campaign had to be laughing at me and thanking me at the same time. I approached my choice of candidates by consuming information literally. That was my hammer and I tried to use it to make everything else look like a nail. I obviously was wrong.”
The owner of the Dallas Mavericks actually has a lot in common with Donald Trump. They are both billionaires, they are both known for speaking their minds and like Trump Cuban has had his own reality program where aspiring business people attempt to impress him.
Well he may have trouble keeping his mouth shut, but at least Mark Cuban does not hesitate to speak out in defense of his team which is off to a woeful 3 – 13 start this season.

He was quoted in NBA.com as saying Sunday night, “Haters gonna hate. We think that you always compete. If you’re competing when the league is better, like it is this year, if you don’t do well, you’ll be in a position to get a good pick. Which, remember, even if you have the worst record in the NBA, there’s a 75 percent chance you’re not going to get the top pick.”
But Mark Cuban promised that the Dallas Mavericks would not fall into the loser’s head space where a team fails because it expects to. He described teams like that as always being, “four years away from four years away, ” instead of actually doing the hard work of rebuilding.
