No he was not Jewish, but so what. Ron Glass was one of the great television actors.

He then won over an entirely new generation of fans as when he played the preacher Derrial Book on the short lives science fiction series Firefly. Known as “Sheppard, ” Glass’ character was the conscience to the crew of the ship, former rebels who once fought for their freedom turned into common criminals.
