sabra-hummus

Israel’s Sabra Salads has been forced to recall it Hummus from the market in America over concerns about listeria contamination. This is the second time in the last two years that Sabra has needed to conduct such a recall.

The recall is yet another black eye for the Israeli salads company which has made a huge mark in the American market as it continues to contend with calls for a boycott from ant-Israel groups.

The company issued a voluntary recall for its Sabra Hummus products which were produced prior to November 8. But Sabra has also called on consumers to return products with a “best before date” listed through January 20, 207.

Sabra released a statement saying, “We are disappointed to share the news of a voluntary recall with the Sabra community today. We’re recalling this product out of an abundance of caution after finding Listeria Monocytognes at the manufacturing facility, but not in tested finished product.”

If you have any Sabra Organic Hummus, Sabra Guacamole, Sabra Salsa or Sabra Greek Yogurt Dips then you need not worry. They are not on the list for recall.
