Carl Bernstein’s old Manhattan pad can be yours for only $22K per month in rent. It is located at 145 Spring Street in Soho.

The Watergate journalist who, together with partner Bob Woodward, is famous for having helped to bring down President Nixon certainly knows where to live.

Just $22, 0000 a month. Is That all? Why that only comes to $264, 000 a year in rent alone. Its not like there are plenty of people out there who could not even afford to buy a home for that much.

The 3 bedroom penthouse was the home of Carl Bernstein until January 2015. So for some people at least journalism can be a very lucrative career. And he had plenty of reasons to be paranoid as Bernstein clearly made many enemies over the years. This may be why he installed a bullet proof door and a state of the art security system. So if you are hiding from someone then maybe this apartment is for you.

Bernstein has been very critical of Donald Trump, sending out tweets like this:

From the listing by Citi Habitats:

Former private residence of an American Legend! This 3, 000 sqft Penthouse has been completely gut renovated with great detail! This Penthouse is the 2 top floors of the building and has 3 King-sized Bedrooms and 3 FULL Bathrooms with a Private Roofdeck. Open chefs kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel Sub Zero and Wolf appliances. This penthouse feels more like a home than apartment and features Central AC/Heat, Carrera marble, wide-plank oak floor, washer/dryer, unique architectural character, abundant light and amazing city views.

This charming building only has 7 apartments and has elevator with the common areas that are designed with New York City style. Conveniently located by the Spring St by the subway 6 stop and close to all neighborhood services, such as the dry-cleaner, supermarket, pharmacy, and also many of New York City most exclusive clubs and restaurants. Big Lights, Big City!
