Bill Maher, Sarah Silverman and Chelsea Handler were among the countless celebrities who took to Twitter Wednesday night to slam Donald Trump for his performance in the third and final debate against Hillary Clinton.
Judd Apatow, Bette Midler and Mayim Bialik also joined in on the fun. The stars tried to have some fun with what at times was so scary it seems that the last debate was designed in the spirit of Halloween which is less than two weeks away.

For Maher, it was Trump’s comments on abortion that were the biggest source for his acerbic wit. Bill Maher took the opportunity to not only point out that Trump is clueless about the abortion debate, but also to get in a zinger about the Donald’s pursuits of much younger women saying, “Trump on fetuses: In 20 years, they’ll be dating me!”

And Bill Maher had plenty more to say in these tweets:

And then Maher had this to say:
Hillary looks like a president. Like a president dealing with an idiot at a town hall. #Debatenight

Meanwhile Chelsea Handler could not resist comparing Donald Trump to Bill Cosby, in effect calling the Republican Presidential nominee a rapist.
The only person with more respect for women than Donald Trump is Bill Cosby. #debate
— Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) October 20, 2016
But Handler’s best line was probably this one:
Donald Trump just got his pussy grabbed. #debate
— Chelsea Handler (@chelseahandler) October 20, 2016
Mayim Bialik shared these thoughts:
Did he just say "nobody has more respect for women than I do"!?!?!? What is happening!!?!??!??
— Mayim Bialik (@missmayim) October 20, 2016
Her closing statement was positive. His was blaming, shaming, fear and paranoia. That's why #imwithher
— Mayim Bialik (@missmayim) October 20, 2016
As for Bette Midler, she seemed most concerned with Donald Trump’s claims that he might not honor the election results when he loses:

Judd Apatow probably said it best with this tweet:
https://twitter.com/JuddApatow/status/788911024162209792
But Sarah Silverman may have had the best comments of the night:
oh my gosh he does not have the human skill of taking responsibility for a single thing one does or says its actual madness #debatenight
— Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman) October 20, 2016
If Melania doesn't divorce that orange boil first thing 11/9 I'll be flummoxed to tha max #debatenight
— Sarah Silverman (@SarahKSilverman) October 20, 2016
So thank you Bill Maher, Sarah Silverman, Chelsea Handler and all the rest for making last night’s scary event a bit lighter.
