Watch Steven Spielberg directing ‘Ready Player One’ on streets of Birmingham

Birmingham is celebrating the appearance of Hollywood director Steven Spielberg in the streets of the English city, for filming of his new movie “Ready Player One.”

“He is possibly one of the most famous film directors of our time and he is here” the Birmingham Mail announced. “Dressed in flat cap, puffer jacket and trainers, Steven Spielberg has been spotted in Lionel Street today directing his new futuristic film.”

Videos and photos were posted on Twitter by Birmingham’s residents. One of them, filmed by @GreatCharlesSt shows him at work, describing him “walking around a shabby looking market amongst extras and film crew.”

In Spielberg’s dystopian world American signs, graffiti and litter in the streets … of the city’s Jewelry Quarter.  The film opens in 2018.
