Hollywood Walk of Fame received over 300 submissions for new sidewalk stars. “There are forms they have to fill out, a bio and a letter of consent from the celebrity that states they are in agreement of the nomination and will show up (to the ceremony) if selected.” producer Ana Martinez, told CNN.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, made up of five members including talent manager, Irving Azoff and producer/director, Don Mischer, has final say.
“They look at how long the person has been in the business, awards, nominations and philanthropic work in their community, or around the world, ” according to Martinez.
The brass star has to be covered by the Holywood celebritis, their studio or the person who nominated each honoree. The price is $30, 000 each. The new stars will be installed next year.
