Ever wondered what Jews do at the Passover Seder?

This season’s BEST holiday parody of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video has arrived to tell you!

Y-Studs - Seder - Passover 2
For Passover 2016, watch the Y-Studs (Yeshiva Students) as they guide you on an A Cappella journey through the Seder night, taking you through each tradition from the wine to the matzah to the bitter herbs and more in the most THRILLING fashion.

The Y-Studs broke out big time last May when they released an A Cappella cover video of Gad Elbaz’s “Hashem Melech” (based on Khaled’s “C’est la vie”), totalling around half a million hits online.

Popular Jewish A Cappella groups have received most attention for their entertaining holiday parody videos, a genre the Y-Studs have noticeably avoided. Jason Katz, President of the group, explained, “The Y-Studs sought to craft our unique non-parody niche for quite some time, but we thought we had a amazing idea with this one and put all of our energy into it!” Their presence in the parody market begins now, and with a big splash.

This season, the emerging all-male group from upper Manhattan collaborated with Pitch Perfect and Pentatonix partner Ed Boyer to create a musical explosion of voices covering Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” while paying tribute to the original choreography and voice over with some smooth moves and surprises of their own. You won’t be able to stop hitting repeat when you see these young men dancing near the Seder table, in the “Egyptian” desert, and even under the moonlight.
Notably, this video has been used already as a teaching tool in schools about Passover, given the entertaining and humorous way it takes you through the Passover rituals.
This might be the most creative Michael Jackson parody you’ve seen.

Make the Y-Studs your aca-choice this Passover!
