With more than 9.2 million mobile phone users and a booming startup scene, Israel has produced legions of leaders in the mobile app space like Waze, Playtika and Moovit (ranked #1 in the iPhone navigation category in over 39 countries).

As the Israeli app economy continues to explode, it has become vital for developers to ensure that their users have a quick, smooth app experience, and don’t abandon the app, or turn to a competitor after experiencing slow load times or latency,  said the company’s announcement .

That’s where Neumob comes in: the company has created the most robust network in the world to speed up app load times, allowing mobile companies to drive maximum revenues.

The goal of the company’s presence in Israel is to speed up load times and performance for the most popular apps in the region – like WhatsApp Messenger, Candy Crush Saga and Zynga Poker, as well as apps created by Israeli companies like חדר וחצי.

“Israel – or Startup Nation as it is often called – is one of the hottest mobile app ecosystems in the world right now, and we’re excited to give publishers the chance to reach this mobile-first customer base, ” said Jeff Kim, CEO of Neumob. “We’re excited to expand Neumob’s global network into Tel Aviv, so developers can easily increase app speed, improve the user experience and retain the maximum number of users and stay competitive in this crowded app marketplace.”

Neumob’s flagship product, Neumob Accelerator, boosts mobile app performance by 2-10 times, whether the app’s users are hyper-local in one city or located around the world. Developers simply install two lines of code into their app, and instantly gain access to Neumob’s world-class, 50+ POP global app acceleration network.

Some app developers have tried using their website CDN to accelerate their mobile apps, only to find that this legacy technology, built on desktop web TCP/IP protocols, can’t accelerate app performance in the “mobile mile”.

This is that final mile between the CDN’s outer edge and the user’s device, which happens to be where 70-90% of the latency and lag in mobile apps occurs. Neumob is building a mobile-first infrastructure for the mobile-first world in which most of the planet’s citizens live, work and play.

Developers simply install 2 lines of code into their app, and instantly gain access to Neumob’s world-network.

Neumob is backed by top-tier investors, supporters and partners including Accel Partners, ENIAC Ventures, Enspire Capital, Lightbank, Menlo Ventures, Plug and Play Ventures, PradoSV, Shasta Ventures, SVFrontier and Triple Point Capital.
