Chaim Potok's house sold
This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom  might seem small to some but to others they think it’s as big as the author that it housed. Chaim Potok,  a Jewish author and rabbi,  best known for his award-winning book “The Chosen, ” spent over 39 weeks on the New York Times’ bestseller list, sold more than 3.4 million copies of his book, and won multiple awards. His book My Name is Asher Lev,  gets stage treatment at barrington stage.
His apartment, like his works, was his safe haven that one would call a gem. Now this apartment on sale for $615, 000.

Located in 136 West 81st Street, 2R – Upper West Side, New York, in a gorgeous pre war building in one of the most coveted locations on the UWS. It has a rich history that brokers on both end of the deal wanted to make sure was preserved.
