A Facebook post by Israeli blogger Uri Breitman points out that Prime Minister Netanyahu for a long time seemed, on social media, to have forgotten his daughter from his first marriage.

In his Twitter account Netanyahu had described himself as: “Father to Yair and Avner”.

So last week Breitman wrote: “Ummm, didn’t you forget your daughter Noa?” It seems Bibi is not alone in this; for a long time, too, biographers had also pointed out that Steve Jobs seemed to ignore his own first child as well.

The Breitman post has now been shared hundreds of times, and seemed even to have gotten through to Prime Minister Netanyahu himself. So, on Sunday Netanyahu then changed his profile to read “Prime Minister of Israel, Chairman of the Likud Party, husband of Sara, father of three.”

If you were pedantic you could say he still forgot the two grandchildren he has from the same daughter Noa he seemed to have ignored all these years.

Today the elder grandchild is 7 years old and the younger is 4 years old. Noa herself is now 36, and is Bibi’s first child from his first wife Dr. Miriam Weizmann.

Yair and Avner are the children of Netanyahu’s third wife, Sara whom he married in 1991.

On Friday the Hebrew daily Maariv reported that Noa, now religious and married to businessman Daniel Roth, had moved to the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Mea She’arim in Jerusalem.
