Was the Nazi gold train hunt just an elaborate hoax? Scientists dig for buried treasure and find… NOTHING

  • Treasure hunters Piotr Koper and Andreas Richter claimed Nazi gold train was buried nine metres down in an old railway tunnel in Walbrzych, Poland
  • Pair said train was packed with £250 million of gold, jewels gems and art
  • Legend had it the train was buried by the retreating German army in 1945
  • Scientists who dug site said a tunnel exists – but no there is no train inside
