HAIL, CAESAR! is a satire set in the 1950s, at Hollywood’s Golden Age, when the studio run the show. The story follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix. The cast including beloved stars including George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Josh Brolin, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum.
The fascinating brothers Joel and Ethan Coen have been a prominent directors in cinema playground for more than 30 years. In 1998, the Coen Brothers presented their brilliant comedy ‘The Big Lebowski’ in the Berlin Competition programme, and their dramatic western True Grit opened the 61st Berlin International Film Festival in 2011.
