Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg to take two months paternity leave when child born

Zuckerberg announced in July he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are expecting a baby girl following three miscarriages

Mark Zuckerberg says he will take two months of paternity leave after the birth of his daughter.

Facebook CEO made the announcement on his wall, calling it “a very personal decision”.

Facebook allows its US employees to take up to four months of paid parental leave – time which can be used at once or throughout the child’s first year.

Facebook CEO did not say who would be running the company while he is out. Facebook did not immediately respond to an inquiry.

Over the summer, Zuckerberg explained that Chan suffered three miscarriages, but she was far enough into her pregnancy this time that the “risk of loss is very low.
