At the age of 37 James Franco finally got his Bar Mitzvah, thanks to his best friend Seth Rogen.
Set Rogen said, in a video below, there was no other choice but having James take his Bar Mitzvah, because it was a good way to raise money for charity.

All proceeds from tickets sold for the Bar Mitzvah benefit “Hilarity for Charity”, an Alzheimer’s awareness organization founded by Rogen and his wife, Lauren.
Franco’s, somewhat belated, coming-of-age party on Saturday was also streamed live so his fans could watch online, via the go90 app.
Celebrity pals and many famous faces showed up including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Sarah Silverman, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Hader, Al Madrigal and Haim.
And thanks to Miley-Cyrus’s involvement in the celebration.
James, Mazel tov! Now you are finally grown-up.
