Bloomberg Business has reveal rendering of Gary Barnett’s Extell Development’s 80-story tower, in 252 South Street, beside the Manhattan Bridge, on the Lower East Side.
Two Bridges neighborhood, now One Manhattan Square, building will have about 800+ condominiums, and will feature 50, 000 square feet and 40, 000 square feet of indoor and outdoor convenience area. Completion is expected by early 2019. Adam Associates is the architect of record, New York Yimby reports.

Curbed NY says that the tower was reported to be 68 stories, then 71, then 56, then 80. Permits for a 56-story tower were issued, but now Extell has filed an amendment to jack the height back up to 68 stories and 800 feet (h/t 6sqft).
DNAinfo reports that Extell representatives would not comment on the plans or confirm the height, but the Department of Buildings approved the changes. New permits have not yet been issued.
