Ben Foster took performance-enhancing drugs to get into character as Lance Armstrong – VIDEO

His role as disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong in upcoming film The Program is the biggest of his career so far, and actor Ben Foster went all out to get into character.

The 34-year-old has admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs as research to play the former Tour de France champion.

While he won’t reveal exactly what he took, Ben does admit that the steroids had some serious side effects and says he’s only just recovered physically.
