Speaking to Stephen Colbert on the Late Show, as reported by Motherboard, Kalanick was asked if he ever “drove an Uber.” “Of course, ” he retorted. And, he claims, he has a perfect-score five-star rating across the board.

Prior to founding Uber in 2009, Kalanick sold peer-to-peer file-sharing company Red Swoosh to Akamai for $19 million. And now as head honcho of an “uber”-successful company that operates across hundreds of cities, it’s clear he’s not doing it for the cash. “For me, it’s just fun, ” he says.
