It’s sad news for gaming world as the President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth. He was 55.
Satoru Iwata underwent surgery to remove growth last year. Then he issued a statement which said that ” a bile duct growth may be difficult-to-treat, partially because of the difficulty of detecting it early. In this case, it had been detected terribly early and that i had no symptoms.”
Satoru Iwata was appointed president Of Nintendo in 2002. He began his career in 1983 as a software coordinator at HAL Laboratory, then becoming HAL President in 1993, and joining Nintendo in 2000.
