Architect Ian Schrager is to design a new hotel for the Dumbo heights development in Brooklyn which is owned by Jared Kushner along with RFR’s Aby Rosen and Michael Fuchs, according to a report in the New York Post. This will be his thrid hotel in New York City.
“We are formulating the ideas and intend for it to be the No. 1 hotel in Brooklyn, ” Schrager told the Post. “It’s so exciting and is also exciting to be part of what Michael and Jared are planning there.”

“This will be the next generation of hotels and something on the edge of what is out there already, ” Schrager declared.
The plan is to redesign the old Jehovah’s Witnesses hotel there which has 30 stories and 508 rooms. The new hotel would see 600 rooms and an additional 60, 000 to 100, 000 square feet of food-and-beverage services and meeting facilities.
