Asif Kapadia defended his documentary on the tragic life of singer Amy Winehouse, which her family has already criticised as “misleading.”
Speaking after the midnight screening of the film at the 69th Cannes Film Festival on Saturday night, he said: “The film’s about Amy. That is the idea; to tell people who she was and what was going on in her life. That was the intention.”
