The 51 year old was one of 11 men arraigned on charges of possession of child pornography as well as the transfer of child pornography. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force of the Rhode Island police executed court-authorized search warrants at the suspects’ homes across the state. Local news reported that investigators said there was no indication that any of the men had inappropriate contact with children.
The arrests followed a three month investigation.
“They identified individuals trading child pornography over the internet, ” Capt. Christopher Dicomitis of the Rhode Island State Police told the local WJAR Channel 10 News. “It’s certainly a concern anytime individuals that associate with young children are identified, ” Dicomitis added.
