For Portman the new film is kind of a Black Swan reunion since Darren Aronofsky will produce, Pablo Larrain will direct. Work is due to begin at the end of 2015 and the movie has Budget of around $15 million.

Earlier this month it was also announced that Portman is set to play another iconic American woman, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Portman will star in “On the Basis of Sex, ” which follows Ginsburg’s career, including the obstacles she faced as a woman trying to advance in her field, Deadline Hollywood reported earlier this week.

Ginsberg was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 by President Bill Clinton, the second female justice and the first Jewish female justice.

Portman is in Cannes presenting her directorial debut, the Hebrew-language film A Tale of Love of Darkness.
