American business undergraduates have rated Google* (see more further down) their dream employer, according to a survey conducted by Universum. 23.1% of them considered the Silicon Valley perk palace the ideal place to land their first job. That should come as little surprise – Google’s reputation for benefits and its unique working environment have also led to it being ranked America’s top employer by the nation’s employees. The Walt Disney company is also seen as an attractive option by business students, with 19.4 percent considering it ideal. Apple completes the top three, picking up 13.9 percent of the vote.

Google Ranked As Top U.S. Employer In The Tech Sector
Forbes and Statista asked over 20, 000 workers at large U.S. companies, nonprofit institutions, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals the following question: how likely would they be to recommend their employer to someone else on a scale of 0-10? Google was ranked as the top employer in IT, Internet, software and services for 2015, with a score of 9.55 out of 10. That probably comes as little surprise, given the search engine giant’s reputation for perks and benefits. Indeed, many Silicon Valley companies are well known for their perks but few come close to matching Google’s long list of benefits. These include free meals, gyms and excellent maternity benefits. Other companies are catching up though, and Facebook comes second with a score of 9.29
