In case you were wondering why there has not yet been a Friends reunion on TV, Courtney Cox has the answer for you. It’s all David Schwimmer’s fault.

Friend’s went off the air in 2004 after ten seasons on the air. It was one of the biggest hit comedies of all time and came in just behind Seinfeld for the title of the number 1 comedy of the 1990s.

For you millennials out there, Friends was a seminal television show for both Generation X and Generation Y people.

Most people felt that Friends “jumped the shark” at least a couple of seasons before the end came. Many, however, are still dying for a reunion show.

But, as Courtney Cox explained in an interview with Yahoo News, this is not likely to happen anytime soon because one of the six friends just does not want to come out and play one more time.

“We’ve not really had a Friends reunion. We’ve gotten about 80 per cent there, but there’s always one person who flakes at the end, ” said Cox. She let it slip that it was Schwimmer.

Apparently the six friends stars have not even all been in the same room at the same time since the show went off the air.

Since then people have had to make do with a Jennifer Aniston appearance on Courtney Cox’s show “Cougar Town.” Also, Schwimmer did make a guest appearance as himself on Showtime’s comedy “Episodes” in which Matt LeBlanc (Joey) plays himself.

So far none of his Friends co-stars has made an appearance on any of Mathew Perry’s many failed TV shows in the past ten years.

So come on Dave! Be a friend! Just swallow your pride or whatever it is that is keeping you from doing a reunion and give something back to the fans.

Now that all of us who enjoyed you on TV when we were still young are middle aged and starting that slow crawl to senior citizenship it would be nice of you to do us a solid and give us some nochus in our old age.
