Famed British fashion advisor Trinny Woodall, and the British businessman Charles Saatchi‘s girlfriend, have revealed to Israeli television that she once attempted suicide while dating a much older man.

Woodall and her partner Susannah Constantine are best known in Israel for their fashion show which has aired there on the Jewish State’s broadcast Channel 10. On that program, the two fashion experts gave 100 average Israelis makeovers. It first aired in 2011 and a second season of the program is currently showing there.

Woodall made the revelation on last night’s show. She said that when she was only 19 years old she dated a man 23 years older than her.

The fashion expert said, “He was often quite violent with me and that was his form of control.”

“In the end I thought he didn’t love me and I took a lot of pills.” After the sucicide attempt, Woodall recounted, “I am there unconscious and he turns to my sister and my brother-in-law and says, ’Look after your own f***ing sister’ and he walks out.

The 51 year old is now dating the British businessman Charles Saatchi. He recently divorced the Jewish British chef Nigella Lawson, who has a television show of her own. Woodall apparently is still drawn to older men as Saatchi is 20 years her senior.
