A 7.9 magnitude earthquake shook Nepal’s capital Kathmandu before noon Saturday. Houses and centuries-old temples collapsed, roads were cut open, more than 1500 people killed, dozens of people injured.
The Massive tremors, which lasted for 30 seconds and as long as a few, minutes were felt throughout North India.
Nepal’s tourism ministry said that earthquake buried part of the base camp for climbers bound for Mount Everest, killing at least eight people.
