OK, it looks like a thoughtful effort to switch from sleaze and underage sex images, American Apparel’s trademark image, to supporting endangered animals in Costa Rica.

Buttercup is a 23-year-old three-fingered Bradypus sloth from Costa Rica. She was rescued by children when she was an orphaned infant, and became the core of a Sloth Sanctuary. Now she’s the sanctuary’s official ambassador, and loves entertaining guests and posing for photos. Her favorite pastimes include sunbathing and eating hibiscus blooms.
