Jason Segel is set to write an upcoming sequel to last year’s smash hit Lego movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
“The Billion Brick Race” will actually be more of a spinoff than a sequel. Three other such spinoff movies are already set to be released.

Meanwhile it has also been announced that Segel will headline this year’s 58th San Francisco International Film Festival together with director Guillermo del Toro.
Segel’s new movie “The End of the Tour” will be showcased at the festival. In the movie Segel plays author David Foster Wallace who tells his life story to journalist David Lipsky who is played by Jesse Eisenberg. It is based on Lipsky’s book.
The film festival will run from April 23d to May 7th.
