David’s Sling, the new air defense system being developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. in cooperation with US company Raytheon, has passed fourth series of tests. The Israeli Defense Ministry puts it on course for possible deployment of next year, the Defense Ministry said today.
David’s Sling is designed to provide an additional layer of defense from short and medium range missiles and rockets with ranges of between 63 miles and 125 miles (100 km and 200 km).
