Jerusalem Economy Sells Toronto’s Woodbine Mall for $96 Million

Woodbine Mall is also home to the Fantasy Fair year round amusement park.

Israel’s Jerusalem Economy Ltd has sold the Woodbine Mall property located at 500 Rexdale Blvd in Toronto Canada for $96 million (C$120 million.) The company said that the proceeds from the sale will be used to pay off a loan, Globes has reported.

Eliezer Fishman, who is the controlling shareholder in Globes, also controls Jerusalem Economy.

Located in the Rexdale area of Toronto across from Woodbine Racetrack, the two level shopping center is home to a Target store, a Sears and a Hudson’s Bay. Opened in 1985 the mall has more than 130 stores.

Woodbine Mall is also home to the Fantasy Fair year round amusement park. It is Ontario’s largest indoor amusement park and has served over eight million guests since first opening in 1985.

The park boasts a 1911 Antique Loof Carousel, aCrystal Kaleidoscope – indoor Ferris Wheel (50 ft.), Bumper Boats, Ships Ahoy (spinning tea cups), Bumper Cars, Fantasy Flight (foot 32′ Balloon Tower Ride”, Fantasy Fair Express Train, Airforce (a plane ride), Spinner (a roller coaster), Spinner – a Family Himalaya ride, Rock ‘n’ Climb – a 4 sided-themed climbing wall And the XD Simulator Theatre.

It also offers 7 Birthday Rooms, the Dreamers’ Play Village (5500 square feet and 3 stories high children’s soft play village), Midway Games Fantasy Station (a family arcade), Face Painting on weekends and holidays, Clik Clik Photography on-site Saturday and Sunday.
