NY State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office is conducting a criminal investigation of the state Thruway Authority, which could include probing a call-girl scandal, the NY Daily News reported.
The case was referred to Schneiderman’s office by the state Inspector General Catherine Leahy Scott, who’s holding on to her report while the AG is investigating, but at least one source it’s going to be a “bombshell.”

The Daily News has reported that state officials are investigating allegations that top Thruway Authority officials have used their state phones to get call girls.
Billionaire developer Howard Milstein, Authority Executive Director Thomas Madison and chief financial officer John Bryan resigned at the end of 2014, presumably as a result of Scott’s probe.
It is presumed that Milstein, who’s given a lot of money to Gov. Cuomo’s campaigns, left to stay away from the impending scandal, although a source has told the Daily News Milstein was going to leave anyway.
The Thruway’s budget, adopted in December, has a $25 million deficit.
That’s a lot of call girls.
